For over 10 years we are promoting use of Diatom Algae to remove nutrients from waterways. We have developed a product to specifically grow Diatom Algae in large waterways, we can use this directly in Lake Erie and ensure that Diatom Algae grow instead of Cyanobacteria. It can also be used in all the smaller waterways in the watershed, tanks, lagoons, ponds, lakes ditches, streams, rivers, etc. Growing Diatoms is the best solution to eutrophication and hypoxia. Diatoms are different from other Phytoplankton / micro-algae, they are very benign and extremely beneficial, since they are consumed by Zooplankton and Fish. Thus the nutrients in waterways can be used to grow Fish. Our product ensures controlled photosynthesis in waterways. At present all waterways suffer from uncontrolled algal blooms. Gaining control over photosynthesis in water is the best way to prevent uncontrolled algal blooms.
