Doug Paige is a Professor of Industrial Design, with a focus in Biomimicry methodology, incorporating nature's lessons into sustainable design and research. Doug joined The CIA design faculty in 1998 from RCA consumer electronics and design consulting in California and Ohio. He has built design/biology collaboration with the University of Akron, worked with the MetroParks on river ecosystem projects and Biomimicry 3.8 as an instructor for advanced biomimicry education. Current research includes, Hedgemon LLC (co-founder), focused on sports, concussion safety, developing hedgehog inspired impact protection technology, and regenerative urban river ecosystems.
